I’ve been using MAMP to run local installations of wordpress on my mac for a while now, and all of a sudden it stopped working… Now instead of displaying my local sites, the browser simply rendered a page that said “It Works!”
After searching about for a while, I found out the answer: I had enabled the “Web Sharing” in System Preferences > Sharing. Once I turned that off, MAMP worked again. So, turn that stuff off if you’re trying to serve websites from your localhost… That is all.
